As my practice is still fairly new, I thought it would be the best time to branch out into the community and start to connect with other business owners and donate my time to local volunteer events. I may have posted a few weeks ago about my interest in the local Rotary Clubs, but just to let you know I have officially attended my first meeting at the Glenville Rotary at the Turf Tavern as a guest. I enjoyed learning about the rituals of the club, and learning about what is going on in the community and how the club is helping. The members that I had time to talk with were all very pleasant and informative, and I felt very welcome. I look forward to attending the weekly Scotia Rotary Club meeting on the 31st, before I decide which group I will join. Although I did enjoy my meeting this morning, I think that the Scotia Rotary Club may be a better fit since they meet at lunch time, and it is during my off hours from the office. I look forward to meeting all the members in the Scotia Club and joining the Rotary soon!
