Also commonly known as the 'Master Vitamin', B6 is included in more body functions that any other nutrient.  This vitamin can aid in the prevention of heart disease and help with headaches.  In fact B6 enhances the bioavailability of Mg, which a deficiency of this mineral (along with B6) is thought to be the number one cause of headaches.  Deficiencies of B6 are common and are seen mostly with women on oral contraceptives and people with kidney problems.  Therefor it is very important for women on birth control to take B6 as a supplement.  For people who aren't on any contraceptive medication and don't have kidney problems they can find B6 in many of the same places as other B vitamins.  For example: whole wheat, wheat germ, and brewer's yeast, along with bananas.  If you have been trying different recipes, why not Google a recipe for banana bread, made with whole wheat flour and possibly add some wheat germ over the top.  Try something new and exciting today.
