The cleanse is broken up into phases. The first phase is the first week in which you only eat fruits and veggies (2x as many veggies as fruits) and a cup of rice or lentils during the day. You are also supposed to have a certain number of cleansing and fiber pills that come with the cleanse. Throughout the day you must also have atleast 2-3 SP shakes (the strawberry and banana were my favorite). The hardest part for me was going cold turkey with the chocolate! The second hardest part was making sure that I was eating enough. Within the first week I dropped about 13 pounds, which as a health care professional I do not recommend. The second phase is the last 2 weeks of the cleanse. At this point you are allowed to reintroduce lean meats into your diet. I continued to lose weight, hitting 18lbs down at one point. Since I lost so much weight in such a shot amount of time I allowed myself to start reintroducing carbs and a few chocolates here and there. The cleanse has been over for a week or two and I have returned to my normal healthy eating patterns. I gained a few pounds back but have managed to stay about 15-16lbs down overall. I am happy with my cleanse and will need to plan on making this an annual cleanse.
